Where we play next
Every night is its own event, at its own venue, listed here the moment it’s real. Places are kept tight and go out by invitation, so if someone has sent you a code you can take yours on the night’s page. Not playing? Spectators are welcome, free, the big screen runs all night and the last game crowns the champion. Want in? Message us and we will sort you out.

The format
An Americano, done properly
If you’ve never played one: an Americano is padel’s social format, and it’s the best afternoon in the sport. Here is how ours runs.
Rotating partners
You don't enter as a pair. Every round you get a new partner and new opponents, so the draw does the work and nobody is carried by the person they arrived with.
Everyone plays everyone
Short, timed rounds across four courts. No knockout, no sitting out after one bad game. You play the whole session, whoever you are.
You score as an individual
Games you win follow you, not your partner. Points accumulate all afternoon, so one winner emerges from sixteen players.
Banded, tightly
Mixed-ability events are mediocre for everybody. Each Americano is run to a stated standard, so every match is worth playing and nobody is out of their depth or bored.
The scoreboard
Run your own night on it, free
The console and big screen we run the Americano on are open to everyone. Type your players in, put the wall display on the venue TV, and score the whole night with one number per court. No sign-up, and it keeps working when the wifi doesn’t.
The point of it
There is a trophy
It is small. It is not expensive. It has somebody’s name on it and it lives on their shelf until the next one, which is precisely why it matters.
Padel is full of casual games nobody remembers. An Americano with a trophy is a thing you turn up for, a thing you talk about afterwards, and a thing you come back to win off whoever took it last time.
Where and when
Cambridgeshire first
We’re starting where we play, in Cambridgeshire, because a padel community can’t be anywhere. You cannot play padel alone, or over the internet. It happens on a court, with three other people, near where you live.
Get the first one right and the format travels. Same rules, same trophy, next city. But it starts here, and it starts properly.
Dates and venue are being confirmed now. Put your name down and you’ll hear first, places will be limited to sixteen.
