Player agreement
Everyone entering an Onward event agrees to this. It is short, it is in plain English, and it is here in full so you can read it any time.
Playing is at your own risk
Padel is a physical sport, played at pace on a hard court with glass and walls. Injuries happen: sprains and strains, collisions with other players, contact with balls and rackets, slips and falls. By entering an Onward event you accept that risk and take responsibility for your own participation.
You are fit to play
You confirm you are physically fit to take part and are not aware of any medical condition or injury that makes playing unsafe. If that changes, tell us before you play. If you feel unwell or pick up a knock during a night, stop and tell whoever is running the scoreboard.
Your kit and your belongings
You are responsible for your own racket and footwear, and for your personal belongings at the venue. Non-marking court shoes only. We cannot look after valuables and we are not responsible for anything lost or damaged.
The venue's rules apply too
Our nights are played at PadelX Burghley Park. You agree to follow the venue's rules and safety instructions, and any reasonable instruction from whoever is running the night.
Play in good spirit
Onward nights are social and mixed-ability. You agree to look after the people you are playing with, and not to play under the influence of alcohol or anything else that would make it unsafe. We can ask anyone to stop playing if we believe they are putting themselves or others at risk.
Photos and video
We take photos and short videos on our nights and use them on our website and social channels. If you would rather not appear, tell us on the night and we will keep you out of them.
Insurance
Onward Padel is not an insurer and does not provide personal accident cover. If you want that cover, please arrange your own.
Under 18s
Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree to this on their behalf, and that adult needs to be contactable during the night.
What this does not do
Nothing in this agreement takes away your legal rights, and nothing here excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under law.
